Members Update - 24th August, 2016

 Dear Members, 

This is the second formal update regarding the change of ownership at YMCA Docklands. 

We hope you find these updates interesting and encouraging about the future with us The Push Group (Trading as Push! Fitness Docklands). 

TIMELINE FOR CHANGE

Our timeline for the changeover is on track. The final day of trading as YMCA Docklands will be 31st August 2016. 

Services
There will be no interruption to access and services for the transition of business. On the Wednesday the 31st of August, we will be changing over all of the banking and database services. During this time there may be minor inconveniences where we decommission IT equipment and reinstall the new services. We will try to ensure such work occurs during off peak times or after hours to minimize any impact. 

YMCA Docklands website
The YMCA Docklands website and Facebook page will come down from normal operations on the night of the 31/8. Please look to the new PUSH! Fitness website and FB page for updates from the 1st of September 2016. 

PUSH! Fitness Website
The PUSH! Website is currently under development and will expand in services and functionality in the near future. Please engage with the PUSH! Facebook page for more information and updates. 

NEW TECHNOLOGY

MindBody Online
Our new data base for member information will be an exciting new development. New functionality including online payments, bookings, live updates of personal information, online purchase etc. will all be available using this modern software. 

PUSH! Fitness App
Our new App is currently undergoing testing. After showing one staff today how it looks and works, the response was ‘That is awesome!’ The new App will allow you to reserve classes, make payments, update your profile, interact with us, book PT, view staff profiles, review class descriptions etc. all from your smart phone. More details on the App and the MindBody Online software in the next update. 

Fit Desk
We have made the decision to continue with Fit Desk as the provider of our online and web based fitness programming software. The kiosk will continue operation in the club. We also encourage more members to utilize this software – ask us how if you are interested. 

NEW TOWEL POLICY

From the 1st of September 2016 all members will need to carry a hand towel during their workouts. No explanation needed on why this is important in a high end corporate fitness facility.

NEW EQUIPMENT

Cardio equipment tender process update
We are pleased to update you that 2 vendors have responded to our Cardio Equipment replacement tender. The two companies responding are: 

  • LIFE FITNESS
  • PRECOR

Both companies produce world class fitness equipment and we are excited to invite you to be part of that process. 

Future Zone
We are in the process of removing the X Dream bikes from in front of the windows on level 2. This space will form our Future Zone for a period of 45 days. Both PRECOR and LIFE FITNESS will install 2 pieces of the latest Cardio equipment for your testing and usage during the 45 days. We will ask you to feedback into the decision making process by telling us your opinion about the equipment. 

MEMBERSHIPS and PRICING

Your membership is being transferred over from LINKS to MindBody Online. The process of transfer will be seamless and processed in strict compliance to privacy laws. 

Your Membership Fees
Your membership fees will not increase as per the previous communication. We will try to streamline the membership products so there might be a change to the membership name. 

Your Membership debits and payments
NEW UPDATE - YMCA will complete the debit on the 1st of September 2016 as per the normal schedule of membership payments. The next debit will occur on the 15th September 2016 according to the normal schedule, but will be completed by Ezi-Debit. 

Business Banking
All banking services for PUSH! Fitness and The Push Group are now with ANZ Bank. 

PERSONAL TRAINING

All PT memberships will cease on the 31st of August. From September 1st 2016, PT can only be purchase in the form of PT Packs. Please ensure your PT Sessions are up to date by the end of the month. If you have any questions, please contact your trainer or send us an email. 

COMMUNITY

All of our community initiatives will continue from the 1st of September 2016. 

STAFFING

We are pleased to announce that the majority of our staff will be engaged by The Push Group from the 1st of September 2016. 

GROUP FITNESS PROGRAM

The September Group Fitness program has been released. You can find the schedule on the YMCA Website and on the PUSH! and YMCA Docklands Facebook pages. 

MEMBER BENEFITS

Your local membership benefits will not change. 
The YMCA Member Program (10 visit pass to access other YMCA centres) will continue until 30th June 2017. An reciprocal access agreement has been signed between the YMCA and The Push Group to cover these details. That means you can continue to access other YMCA facilities with your PUSH! ID and YMCA 10 visit pass for another 10 months. This arrangement also applies for YMCA Members who wish to access PUSH! – We will honour this access on the same timeline. YMCA members will need to show their YMCA Card and present a 10 Visit pass.
